So Far: Week 4ish
2 weeks ago we headed into final rehearsal week and
then onto tech week on the FARM!
(I must write a post about Charlotte on the Farm...it was a unique and wonderful experience.)
So, on Sunday I closed a show with CYT, so the past 2 weeks have
been quite active. My wonderful son, still serving at the church during my
break, ended up consulting the board on lighting equipment, mixed some
recordings, and then enjoyed helping with tech and sound support for the show.
My sweet husband also jumped in to help consult on some sound issues, brought
his expertise to tech week, aaaand helped strike. Surprise, my family rocks.
So... what Sabbatical? Well, sometimes it’s not about how much
you rest, but from what you rest. We’ve had some wonderful times of worship and
prayer, and it’s been refreshing to view things from a different perspective. We
loved spending a Sunday with my wonderful aunt and seeing Colton serving in his
calling with Cornerstone. We enjoy visiting our church as visitors, and we love
being able to fellowship with our church community! We LOVE, love having people
over to our home for a night of free worship and prayer! LOVE it so much. If
you want to join, you’re welcome to.
We’ve already sensed a part of the direction we feel led to
walk for the next season of ministry, and though we’re not totally sure what it
all looks like, we’re super excited to find out what’s in store. Take me to
coffee, I’ll tell you all that I know. 😊
One of the things that I’ve taken time to soak in, besides
my worship books, has been my amazing kids. Did you guys know they grew
up? I don’t remember them being so completely bigger than pigtails and Beyblades.
I love talking to them about life, God, future, past, lessons learned, opinions
about where we are, politics, ethics, stuff!
It’s been pretty fantastic to reconnect. This next week I’m visiting some
friends a little ways away, and I cannot wait to meet some new babies!!
Pray for us this week as we’re setting apart a special time
to focus on what some next steps are in life, home, finances, and finishing
college. Thank you so, so much for those of you who have kept us in your
prayers and who have continued to connect with us. Your words of encouragement,
and your visits are so appreciated!
