A Time for Rest
So, we're taking a break and it's a very good thing.
In November of 2010 we spent our first Sunday at Celebration. In August of 2013 God put our faith to the test and placed us right where He could use us in ways that we had promised Him He could! After having served on our church's worship team for a bit over 2 years, and me having been privileged to serve and assist my leader for much of that time, I was well prepared to step into leading when she felt led to move out of the area. Although I didn't feel ready, God knew I was, and on the Tuesday following her last day I jumped in and led my first full band rehearsal. The rest is history. It's been just over 31/2 incredible years now, and although we are willing to keep on trucking, we have felt the Lord directing us to rest.
This past Sunday, we announced to our church that we will be taking a summer break from Worship Ministry. Similar to a Sabbatical, we will be taking the time off to pray, refresh, seek the Lord for direction and spend time in fellowship with our Church Family! Over the next three months, we look forward to crashing on friends couches who live in cool places (*hint hint*), spending time with our family, reconnecting with our neighbors, and reading actual books! We are seeking places (conferences, worship nights, etc.) to be refueled and to soak. We are also just trusting God to provide for us in this time, and appreciate your prayers for that.
You may be under the impression that this time of rest means that we don't want to serve or participate in our community or church activities, well nothing could be further from the truth! We look forward to connecting with you all in small groups, hosting you in our home for fellowship nights, and worshiping with (next to) you throughout this season.
Please come up to us, please invite us over, please let's connect. We can't wait to see what God does in and through this season!!
