Kitty Litter Cave of Wonders
So, we're getting cats. With all of the options out there for litter boxes, litter domes, and fancy poop collecting gadgets, I had some serious thinking to do. I don't want anything in our house to look intentionally for out cats, I want my house to still be a human house. So a creative tree alternative is in the works, and a litter box was a concern. After purchasing a dome box, I was irritated with the loss of space above the dome. Shelves and talked were hard to fit and I got frustrated. Finally, I hunted around on Pinterest and Instructables for ideas. This is what I came up with. Starting with a deck box that i already had, I simply cut an entry whole, put up a pegboard "wall" and done. So, so easy. The deck box is a large 112-120 gallon size. Wood ones like this can cost up to $150. Resin (plastic) ones are much less expensive. I hope the kittens like it.
